9th week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生9週間目
９週目です。今回は近所のおじさんに教えてもらったりyoutubeを見ながら電気配線をしました。といっても元々あった配線を延長して新しいコンセントを取り付けただけです。
Week 9: Today I first time extended electric wiring myself. I mainly google how to wire them on youtube, also my neighbor helped me for a bit.
元々床の間だったこの場所。机を置きたいので照明を付けました。これもパーツを購入し配線から全てやりました。
I’ve also done the lighting works for the first time. This space will be desk space.
さらにキッチンにはシリコンコーキングを加えました。
Furthermore, I added more filler for the kitchen.
今週で夏の部が終わりです。かなりベースは仕上がったと思います。
I will be back in London soon, but almost 80 percent of work finished this summer.
8th week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生8週間目
床をついに白く塗りました。その後ニスも塗り大分感じが出てきました。
The floor have painted all white, then varnished.
トイレの棚と壁も白く塗りました。
7th week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生7週間目
いよいよ床の仕上げに入ってきました。もうすぐで土足禁止になります。
まず隙間を埋めた後に、グラインダーで床をスムーズにしました。
I am happy that we finally reached this point. We will be soon ready to finish flooring.
This week we filled in the gaps with filler, then sand the surface flatter and smoother.
トイレも少し進みました。棚が出来上がり、流すのもちゃんと考えています。
Toilet work also improved. New shelf, and new flashing system.
6th week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生6週間目
6週目にして床を全体的に張り終えました。Finally, we managed to finish flooring work in week 6.
トイレのタンクが嫌なので隠すための土台を作りました。I wanted to hide the water tank, so I made the base for next week.
トイレの壁には腰壁をつけました。上部は壁紙を貼る予定です。
In the toilet, I decided to have the wall panel, then I will put wall paper afterwards.
5th week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生5週間目
買出しからスタートです。床に使う木材を買いに行きました。
This week starts from shopping, which I am planning to use for flooring.
先週の続きでタイルを完成させました。We finally finished tiling works in the kitchen.
また、ニスを塗ることで防水対応にしました。Then, varnished the wooden board to make it waterproof.
IHクッカーを設置するために穴を開けました。This hole is for putting the cooker as you see.
キッチンの収納として壁にポールを取り付けました。フライパンやお玉などをかけます。
This pole is for hanging kitchen equipment such as pans.
元々あった給湯器をデコレーションしてみました。 Old boiler decoration.
4th week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生4週間目
既に４週目です。木材の買出しです！
Already in week 4, bought all materials to get ready to work!
今週は多くの作業が平行して行われており、まずは先週の続きでタイル作業をしました。
We’ve been doing various works in same time this week, but first, continue the tiling works.
そしてキッチン部分の開いていた床に木を打ち込み、床を作りました。結構元のフローリングと新しい床部分を平らに仕上げるのに苦労しました。
その後は、キッチンとダイニングを仕切る壁を作る予定なので、土台を建てました。
Nextly, I placed new flooring on the hole from last week, which was hard to make the total flooring flat especially the gaps between old and new flooring bits.
I’m planning to built a wall between kitchen and dining room, so this going to be the base.
タイル作業も大幅に終えたところでキッチンの壁も白く塗りました。
After finished the tiling mostly, we painted the kitchen walls white.
次はモロッカンタイル調のクッションフロアを敷きました。床拭きをした後に簡単に専用の両面テープを貼り、コロコロ敷くだけです。後は角をシリコンコーキングで埋めて防水にします。
For the kitchen floor, I decided to have the moroccan style waterproof flooring mat all over the kitchen area. Just mop the floor first, then use both side tape. But I did the silicone sealant around the edge to make it more waterproof.
床ができたので、キッチンを作っていきます。これも意外とシンプルで、土台を建て、木の板を乗せて、シンクとIH用の穴をくりぬきはめるだけです。
After finishing the flooring, next step will be kitchen. It was much simpler than I imagined, basically just build the base, put the wooden board, and place the cooker and basin.
来週の先駆けで少し床作業を進めました。コーナンで購入した廃材の木材を使いました。そのまま床に釘で打ちつけていくだけです。
We also spent bit of time for main flooring. This is also simply nail the wood on to the floor.
3rd week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生3週間目
三週目は先週の続きで塗装を施しましたが、今回は艶消しのホワイトを使い柔らかい雰囲気に仕上げました。
In third week, we are still continuing the paintings but this time we used lusterless white paint on the shiney base.
キッチン部分は一番苦労した部分です。
まず先週の害虫駆除後、①数日間に渡り床下の水分を飛ばし ②腐った床部分を丸ノコで全て切断し ③柱を入れなおし ④ブロックを補強後セメントを流し込み ⑤水道管や排水パイプを固定しました。
Kitchen work is the most difficult part ever I’ve experienced, which firstly spent few days to dry under the flooring. Secondly, cut off all the old wooden base which was eaten by termites, then replaced the new wooden bases. However as the new bases wasn’t strong enough, I decided to put the blocks underneath with concrete. I also did the water pipe and drain pipe myself.
週の最後は、タイル貼りも始めました。ここはキッチンになります。
End of the week, we had a time to do bit of tiling work for the kitchen space.
追記ですがこんなもの買いました。わくわく。

2nd week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生2週間目
一週目の大掃除後、今週は壁や天井のベースを塗りました。
本当は油性ペンキを使ったり、下地を塗ることで掃除の手間を省くことができるのですが、臭いやコストの面からこの方法を選びました。
まず安いので艶有りの水生ペンキをベースに使いました。コーナン製です。
After the massive cleaning, we spent almost whole week to paint the base on walls and ceilings.
Normally professionals use oil based paints or use proper base paints, however as it smells badly and cost a lot I decided to use normal cheap water based paints as a base.
祖母から譲り受けた古い食器棚も塗りました。
I also painted the old cupboard which my grandma gave me.
1st week of the house refurbishment. 古民家再生1週間目
1週目は掃除、片付け、害虫駆除(シロアリ・ゴキブリ・ウジ虫・ネズミなど)に取り掛かりました。
以前の入居者の家具を持ち出し処分するのに２日間要し、処分業者に５万円を払い家具や２トンは軽く超えるであろう量のゴミを処分してもらいました。
処分の日には私は不在でしたが聞く話しによると、怪獣がゴミを飲み込むかのように巨大なワードローブなども食べていったそうです。
その後、完全防備服を纏い主にキッチンの床下の白アリ駆除を行ったり、壁全体の油汚れを落とすために３日間ほどマジックリンなどを使い拭き掃除を行いました。
1st week was mostly for cleaning including dispose of all rubbish and furniture, extermination of harmful insects such as cockroach, termites, rats and maggots.
We spent whole two days for moving out all of the old furniture and rubbish, which cost about £300 to throw away all rubbish approximately over 2t.
Rest of the week, we clearned all walls with special soap for dirty surface.
